The First Falling Cloudberry

I received a lovely new cookbook for my birthday called Falling Cloudberries. It has 'family-style' recipes from seemingly random cuisines (the author had a very international family), such as Greek, Cypriot, South African, Italian and 'other'. For my first recipe, I made Ludi's Chicken - Ludi is the nickname the author and her sister gave each other. It wasn't a complicated recipe, basically a lemony roast chicken, but very tasty with lots of moist potatoes and red onion cooked in stock and white wine, paired with my new favourite white wine, a French Viognier. Unfortunately, my new blogging idea is struggling to stick and I forgot to take any photos.

However, I did remember to take photos of the chicken curry we made with the leftover chicken - a very tasty recipe from Greg on the internet and a great way to make your roast chicken go a lot further!

This week we are also having Prosciutto Haddock with Butter Bean Mash, Lamb chops with Chickpea, Feta and Coriander salad (also from Falling Cloudberries) and Spicy Beef and Chestnut Pasta.
