I know they say Venice is expensive and that many places are a rip-off, but surely Harry's Bar would have to be right up there? Maybe I just don't appreciate the history? Or maybe it's a giant tourist con?
Sound cynical - you might be too if you paid 35 euros for these two tiny glasses of their speciality (and the cocktail apparently invented there) Peach Bellini. The olives were 'free'.
Don't get me wrong, it was a very nice drink, but come on - 15 euros each plus 15% service. I guess while the place is full of suckers like us who will pay it, they can charge it. Take my advice, don't bother with this one.
